Lottery Challenge: Day 7

January 2, 2008 · Leave a Comment

Tickets bought: one $10 Double Cash Blowout
Day’s earnings: -$10
Net Earnings: -$37

I was going to alter the challenge today and buy 10 Powerball tickets, but when I got to the Scotchman on Horner (the same store that sold a million dollar raffle ticket last month to a man in Fayetteville), I found the elusive $10 ticket I have been searching for.

So I bought it. And I got nothing. Talk about disappointment. I am starting to think that, for your money, the best bet is to buy more of the smaller tickets.

So since I have covered all the denominations, for the rest of this challenge I am going to stick with $1 tickets, and probably a $5 in there somewhere in an effort to recoup some of this mounting debt.

I think I was wrong. Gambling doesn’t pay. See you tomorrow.
