Thanks for the blogsite. I wanted to know if the Herald would ever do a story about Central Carolina Hospital and the community. I know that CCH advertises in your paper and that makes it difficult, but what is going on here is really hurting everyone in the community.

For example, CCH is owned by Tenet healthcare, a for profit chain based in Dallas, Tx. Di you also know that they charge more than most any other hospital in the state? I looked this up – there are approx 140 hospitals in NC and CCH charges are in the top 10. Did you know that alot of the profit that CCH makes goes back to Dallas. Did you know they offer only the basic services and do not offer any of the services that are deemed unprofitable in the marketplace. Yes, as a for profit, they pay taxes, BUT they also send alot of their uninsured and self pay to UNC Chapel Hill. Look at what they spend in “charity” care versus what other community hospitals spend in charity care for the needy!

    Hi J
Just wanted to know if you could do a follow up on our first leads club meeting in Sanford. We had ten business owners show up for the first meeting and will look to hold our second meeting this Tuesday. I will say that the ten that showed were due to the article you ran two weeks ago. I tried and left about fifty fliers around town and no luck. Thanks for all you do and any help that you can provide will be greatly appreciated
